    About the Role:

    Reporting into Head of Financial Planning & Analysis, this highly commercial position offers the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership, working with all aspects of finance, so collaboration is key in order to enhance and develop regular robust reporting and analysis for senior management.

     

    What you'll be doing:

    • Working in a highly cross-functional capacity with the various business units in C&C GB and other departments across the wider C&C Group, so you'll need to understand the reporting requirements and deliver them in a way that is scalable for future growth
    • Assisting with the co-ordination and production of the Weekly Trading update which is sent to the board directors and GB exec, ensuring that the financial updates and commentary are accurate and provide insight to the leadership teams
    • Working with the Senior finance team to create and consolidate the weekly forecast position for C&C GB and submit this to group finance. Be a point of contact and liaison between group finance and the C&C GB Commercial finance team answering ad hoc reporting queries
    • Assist with the creation of month end Board Pack maintaining consistency throughout and increasing insight and understanding about C&C GB performance overall and the performance of individual business units in the context of both internal targets and within the markets that they operate in
    • Help to develop and improve all regular reporting, contribute to the creation of group KPIs and reports that will become benchmarks for measuring the progress and success of C&C GB and that help provide better quality insight and more actionable reports that will have both short and long term impact on the performance of C&C GB
    • Support budget and forecasting processes from a FP&A standpoint bringing together relevant stakeholders across Finance and the business • Provide cover for the Head of FP&A and other ad-hoc duties as required

     

    About you:

    Whilst we think this role would be well suited to a newly qualified accountant looking for their first move into industry, it would also be well suited to someone with experience of working in a commercial environment or previous finance analyst role, performing either financial analysis, accounting or related discipline

     

    Further attributes required are:

    • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to present findings and discuss numerical and commercial information to relevant stakeholders in a meaningful way.
    • Adaptable and able to deliver information to non-finance stakeholders in a digestible, clear and concise way, appropriate to specific audiences.
    • Ability to influence key stakeholders, to build effective working relationships in order to help the business achieve its objectives.
    • Commercially aware, must understand and anticipate the needs of the business, external influences, and the wider business agenda.
    • Comfortable working with risk and ambiguity, able to adapt to changing business requirements.
    • Advanced level proficiency in MS Excel.
