  • We have an exciting opportunity for a Load Planner to join our team on a full-time permanent basis at our Cambuslang Depot 

    Shift: Monday to Friday (Occasional weekend working during peak periods)

    As the heartbeat of the Transport department, you will manage daily load planner activities, a great opportunity to act as deputy Loan Planner (undertake governance audits and prepare monthly reports) for Senior Management. 

    What you'll do:

    • Work with the Load Planning team to assign work to the drivers and their required mates maximising both vehicle and manpower utilisation, following up on actual performance and taking corrective action as required.
    • Ensure that all vehicles and associated equipment are operated in the appropriate manner meeting all current driver and vehicle legislation and within Company Policy.
    • Ensure that all drivers and mates are aware of and comply with all relevant Health & Safety and Fire regulations, and that the approved uniform and Safety wear is always worn by all staff.

    About you:

    In this role, being organised is only the start. You also need to be motivated, adaptable and able to take the initiative to solve problems.

    • Load Planning experience in FMCG or Logistics environment
    • Excellent communication skills to deliver accurate information to internal and external key stakeholders.
    • The ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure.
    • Able to work as part of a team or independently.
    • Be professional, approachable, and helpful to ensure smooth running of the general operation.
    • Attention to detail / accuracy.
    • Good IT skills including Microsoft office packages.
    • Effectively prioritise workload to meet set deadlines.
