    Purpose:

    Management of Group HSE compliance, KPI reporting and continuous improvement initiatives, working with a range of both internal and external stakeholders in the delivery of Group strategy.

    A pivotal role in delivering the transformation projects required in establishing HSE high standards and a sustainable health and safety culture across the Group.

    Responsible for the development and ongoing management of the Group Management Standards framework. Facilitation of the configuration, testing and implementation of supporting reporting systems.

    Direct liaison with internal and external partners in raising standards and coordination of legal compliance schedules and capability improvement programmes.

    About the role

    In this role, you'll be at the forefront of driving excellence and compliance in Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) practices throughout our organisation. Here's what you'll be taking on:

    You'll spearhead the development and maintenance of challenging metrics, leveraging leading and lagging indicators to fuel continuous improvement efforts and foster a culture of trust among all stakeholders.

    Your responsibilities will also include maintaining our Group HSE Management system, providing clear guidance on technical aspects of legislation and best practices, and ensuring compliance through collaboration with our wider HSE team.

    As a liaison with external bodies, you'll ensure our management system meets rigorous compliance standards and earns certification.

    Managing our comprehensive audit programme efficiently and effectively will be another critical aspect of your role, driving compliance and continuous improvement through close coordination with all involved parties.

    Effective communication strategies are paramount, and you'll play a key role in developing and coordinating these strategies to ensure the dissemination of key HSE messages throughout the organisation.

    You'll also lead the charge in identifying and implementing technological solutions to enhance efficiency, protect data, and drive performance improvement across the group.

    And finally, you'll coordinate strategic projects aimed at continuously elevating HSE compliance, culture, and performance, positioning yourself as a driving force in our journey towards HSE excellence.

    About you

    In this role, you'll need to demonstrate a proven track record in delivering performance improvements. Your experience in project management will be crucial for success. You'll be expected to have a comprehensive working knowledge of ISO management principles and methodologies, along with experience coordinating training programmes and implementing change management initiatives through strong stakeholder relationships. Proficiency in SharePoint Systems, including the ability to build SharePoint and intranet sites, is essential, as well as intermediate to advanced Excel skills.

    ESSENTIAL:

    Quality Management / Lead Audit Qualification

    Project Management Qualification

    PREFERRED:

    Experience in the application of Food Safety Standards and BRC accreditation

    Occupational Safety & Health technical qualification

    Foundation level qualification in environmental Management e.g. IEMA
