    Purpose:

    Day to day management of the HSE Support team in the implementation of HSE Management systems and initiatives through a range of engagement and training activities. Upskilling the HSE Business Partners in technical ability and coaching in delivering a more proactive, value add service to the Business with joint ownership of action to improve performance.

    Creating a passionate and driven team striving to be better rather than accepting compliance as the standard.

    Liaising with key stakeholders in identifying and supporting the close out of actions to drive improvements in safety and legal compliance. Mentoring Regional HSE Business Partners in raising the standard, providing a proactive and value add professional service to the Business and in achieving improvement targets through a robust set of challenging HSE Metrics.

    To develop, coordinate and lead on the delivery of the HSE Capability Improvement programme creating a culture of trust, accountability and learning with self-sufficient teams at all levels in the organisation.

    About the role

    In this crucial role, you'll spearhead efforts to uphold excellent Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards throughout our organisation. Your primary focus will be on nurturing strong internal relationships while ensuring strict adherence to legal requirements and best practices. During site visits, you'll proactively address any identified issues, swiftly implementing solutions to maintain a safe working environment.

    Your talent for setting goals will be pivotal in driving continuous improvement initiatives, guiding the team towards achieving HSE objectives effectively. Moreover, your role will extend to coaching and empowering colleagues to identify and mitigate potential risks, fostering a culture of proactive safety awareness.

    In addition to your responsibilities in accident investigation and risk management, you'll also oversee crucial environmental initiatives, playing a significant role in promoting sustainability within our operations.

    About you

    You will need to demonstrate a track record of successfully leading teams to deliver performance improvements. Your experience should include coordinating training programs and implementing change management initiatives through effective stakeholder relationships. Operational experience is essential, along with a comprehensive understanding of ISO14001 and ISO45001 management processes, principles, and methodologies. Proficiency in office applications is a must-have.

    Professional Qualifications

    ESSENTIAL:

    Graduate level qualifications in an HSE discipline e.g. NEBOSH
    Chartered Membership with a Professional body e.g. The Institute of Occupational Safety & Health
    Foundation level qualification in environmental Management e.g. IEMA

    PREFERRED:

    IFE Fire Risk Assessor / Manager
    Training qualification
    Environmental Management Qualification
